Volkswagen Truck & Bus ended 2025 at the top of the bodywork installation ranking in Brazil, with approximately 25,000 vehicles registered. According to data from the National Association of Road Equipment Manufacturers (Anfir), the brand now holds a 33% market share among associates, driven by the performance of the Delivery 11.180 and growth in specific niches such as infrastructure and public services.
In the category breakdown, dry freight and bulk carrier bodies accounted for 33.8% of the brand's installations. In the tipper/extended cab niche, VWTB saw a 4-percentage-point growth in market share, reaching 54% of all registrations within that Anfir category. Among specific models, the Delivery 11.180—Brazil’s best-selling truck in 2025—also led the ranking with 5,904 units fitted with bodywork. This success is driven by its versatility and unique features that allow it to be used in a wide range of applications.
"Our leadership in bodywork installations reflects our positioning in the truck sector and our strategy of providing chassis configured for the specific needs of every operation. This volume of registrations shows that customers prioritize vehicles that offer efficient integration with equipment, ensuring the uptime required by transporters," explains Ricardo Alouche, Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and After-Sales at Volkswagen Truck & Bus.
The Anfir report also showed that options destined for construction, cranes, and waste collection—sectors where the manufacturer leads—performed exceptionally well, exceeding a 72% market share in the urban cleaning segment, for example. With specialized projects, tailored engineering, and a vocational portfolio at the ready, VW Truck & Bus models meet customer needs while guaranteeing the robustness and versatility required for trucks to operate smoothly in challenging environments.
