Consistency in challenging times: TRATON GROUP extends Antonio Roberto Cortes's contract

In light of the complex global industry landscape, TRATON SE reaffirms its confidence in Antonio Roberto Cortes's expertise and extends his mandate at the helm of Volkswagen Truck & Bus until 2029.

Munich, February 27, 2026 – In an environment that remains challenging for the global commercial vehicle industry, experience, business vision, and trust-based collaboration are more important than ever. In this context, during its meeting on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, the Supervisory Board of TRATON SE decided to extend the appointment of Dr. h. c. Antonio Roberto Cortes as a member of the Executive Board of TRATON SE for an additional two years. As a result, he will remain responsible for Volkswagen Truck & Bus until January 2029 and will continue to serve as a member of the TRATON GROUP Executive Board.
