Volkswagen Truck & Bus celebrates the 20th anniversary of its PAC (Parts and Accessories Center), located in Vinhedo (SP). The largest auto parts center in Latin America is responsible for the storage and distribution of parts and accessories for Volkswagen Truck & Bus, Volkswagen do Brasil and Audi, brands that are part of the Volkswagen Group. With an area of 132,000 m2 (equivalent to 18 soccer fields), of which 33,000 m2 is dedicated exclusively to Volkswagen Truck & Bus, the PAC operates more than one million order lines, with a stock of 33 thousand different items. In total, there are approximately 730 employees and service providers working to ensure that the 147 VWCO dealerships and 30 importers around the world are served, ensuring logistical excellence in the after-sales service of parts and accessories;
"We are very proud to celebrate the 20th anniversary of our Parts Distribution Center in Vinhedo, a milestone that reflects Volkswagen Trucks and Buses' successful trajectory and commitment to excellence in service. In an area of 33,000 m², our operation is essential to ensure agility and efficiency in the supply of parts to our customers throughout the country and to importers from over 30 countries. This center is a key piece in our strategy of offering complete and customized solutions, always seeking to contribute to maximum productivity and availability of vehicles in operation. We thank all of our employees and partners who, over these two decades, have contributed to making this achievement possible", comments Roberto Cortes, CEO and president of Volkswagen Truck & Bus.
“The Vinhedo Parts and Accessories Center (PAC) is strategically important for Volkswagen do Brasil’s business, so much so that it will receive part of the R$16 billion in investments that we have announced for the country until 2028, with a focus on driving even greater advances in its processes, always with the most advanced technology and innovation. The Vinhedo PAC is essential for Volkswagen’s results, both from a financial standpoint, with revenues of over R$2 billion per year in parts and accessories, and in terms of customer satisfaction, offering excellence in After-Sales for Volkswagen models, including the brand’s classics that are national passions. We continue to invest in the ongoing evolution of PAC’s operations, an increasingly modern, agile and digital center”, says Ciro Possobom, CEO of Volkswagen do Brasil. The Volkswagen Group’s Parts and Accessories Center is also aligned with its Sustainability strategy, operating with 100% electric energy from renewable sources. In addition, the Vinhedo PAC reuses boxes as much as possible in the production flow, significantly reducing the consumption of cardboard and wood.
