Internships & Theses

  1. Do you want to take a break from your studies and gain practical working experience? Is an internship required in order for you to complete your studies? At Volkswagen Truck & Bus, you can complete both a compulsory and a voluntary internship.

  2. In order to be eligible for an internship at Volkswagen Truck & Bus, you must be currently enrolled in a university. Your good academic record, your motivation and your personality will play a significant role in the selection process.

  3. Your internship at Volkswagen Truck & Bus will last from a minimum of 3 months to a maximum of 6 months and can be extended. During this period, you will have the opportunity to learn new skills and to build your own network. We will provide you with the necessary guidance for a successful future career.

  4. You have the opportunity to write your final dissertation at Volkswagen Truck & Bus. Get ready to write your thesis in a professional working environment and be sure that you will make the most of all the appropriate guidance from our experts. In order to be eligible for writing your thesis at Volkswagen Truck & Bus, you must be currently enrolled in a university and be at least in the final year of your bachelor’s degree.

    Pre-selection

    Our HR consultant will review your application documents carefully. We will get in touch with you as soon as possible and will let you know if your profile seems to be a good fit.

    Phone interview

    If your profile meets our requirements, you will be invited to a phone interview with our HR department so that we can get a better idea of your experience.

    Face-to-face interview

    If your phone interview is successful, you will be invited to a face-to-face interview with the Head of the Business Unit and our HR consultant. Here you will have the chance to get to know us and show your full potential.

    After the face-to-face interview we will discuss what we think – as will you – and will give you feedback as soon as possible.

    Contract offer

    We will, of course, discuss your contract and related conditions in depth and will clarify any unanswered questions.

    Onboarding

    During your onboarding on your first day at work, you will get a good and comprehensive information pack in order to become a full member of the Volkswagen Truck & Bus team as soon as possible.

    Your business unit will welcome you within your department and take care of introductions.

It is in all parties’ interest to keep the recruiting process as fast as possible. We involve our business units closely in the process to evaluate your application comprehensively.
